Community Guidelines
Last updated: May 18, 2026
Send it! Outside is built by riders, for riders. When you upload photos, you help others discover great trails and places to ride. These guidelines explain what we expect — in plain language. They are based on our Terms of Use, which apply to everything you do in the app.
The short version
- Upload only your own photos — or photos you have clear permission to share.
- Keep it about the ride — trails, parks, scenery, and places worth discovering.
- Be accurate — location and trail details should reflect where the photo was actually taken.
- Respect others — no harassment, impersonation, or content that violates someone else’s rights.
- Remember it’s public — approved photos and their location data are visible to other riders.
What to upload
We welcome photos that help the community find and enjoy outdoor riding:
- Trail scenes, overlooks, features, and riding environments.
- Photos taken on public trails or places where you have permission to ride and photograph.
- Accurate trail names, park names, and descriptions when you add them.
When you submit a photo, the app may automatically read location and camera data from the image (such as GPS coordinates and the date it was taken). That helps place your photo on the map for others to discover.
What not to upload
Do not submit photos or metadata that:
- Are not yours, or that you do not have the rights to share publicly.
- Include people who have not consented to being shared in a public community feed, when they are clearly identifiable and the focus of the image.
- Show private property, restricted areas, or sensitive locations you should not publicize.
- Are illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate.
- Infringe someone else’s copyright, privacy, or other legal rights.
- Are misleading — for example, a photo paired with a location or trail name that does not match where it was taken.
- Are uploaded for commercial promotion, spam, or automated bulk submission without our permission.
Your responsibilities
By uploading a photo, you confirm that:
- You own the photo or have all necessary rights and permissions to share it.
- Your upload follows these guidelines and our Terms of Use.
- You are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required where you live).
You keep ownership of your photos. By sharing them in Send it! Outside, you also grant us permission to display and use them as described in our Terms of Use so the app can operate and improve.
How we handle submissions
Photos may be reviewed before they appear in the community feed. We may edit, decline, or remove any submission that does not meet these guidelines or our Terms of Use — including after it has been published.
Repeated or serious violations may result in restricted access or account suspension.
See something wrong?
If a photo has the wrong location, trail info, or otherwise does not belong, use the in-app report option. For questions about these guidelines, contact us at support@senditoutside.com.
Thanks for helping grow the map and sharing places worth the ride.
